Equipment

  • 1 shaking cup

Ingredients

boba pearls

  • 1/4 cup cooked boba pearls
  • 1/2 tbsp. honey or simple syrup

Tea

  • 2 tea bags , recommended black tea or jasmine tea
  • 100 ml hot water , flitered water

Strawberry milk mixture

  • 1 cup strawberry cubes , either fresh or frozen, divided
  • 1 tbsp. simple syrup , or more as needed.

Strawberry milk tea with smasehd strawberry

  • 1/2 cup fresh milk plus 1/4 more for warm version
  • 100 ml tea liquid
  • ice cubes as needed

Straberry milk tea with boba

  • 1/2 cup fresh milk
  • 200 ml tea liuqid
  • ice cubes as needed

Instructions

Brew tea

  • Soak the tea bags into the hot water for 3-5 minutes. Longer time and less water will result in a more concentrated flavor. Now remove the tea bags and set the tea aside to cool at room temperature. 

Cook the boba pearls

  • Put the boba pearls in a water pot and cook for 5-10 minutes or follow the instruction on the package. There are different types of boba pearls requiring different cooking times.
  • Run them through cold water to cool them down and remove extra starch. Then mix with sugar, honey or simple sugar to avoid them stick together.

Strawberry milk

  • Place the fresh strawberries in a thick cup and then smash well. 
  • Put smashed strawberries, milk, and simple syrup in another glass and shake them together. You can also choose to blend them together for a uniform taste.

Assemble smashed strawberry

  • you can simply smash more strawberries to replace tapioca pearls, add some ice and pour brewed tea. Then pour in strawberry milk mixture. Top with fresh strawberry cubes and serve.

Assemble strawberry milk tea with boba

  • ill the glass with tapioca pearls, add some ice, pour brewed tea and fresh milk.
  • Stir well before enjoying.
