- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- ice cube
- 1/3 cup pure water or coconut water
- 1 tbsp. syrup
- lemon slice
Matcha liquid
- 2 tbsp. matcha powder
- 1-2 tbsp. hot water
- 1 tbsp. white sugar optional
- 1/3 cup warm water
Whisk the Matcha
Add the matcha powder to a measuring cup, then pour in 1-2 tbsp. hot water, whisk them until the matcha is perfectly blended, and turn into a slight paste state.
Add another 1/3 cup of water and sugar. Hold the chasen with one hand and the bowl with the other to keep it steady. Whisk the matcha and water briskly in a "W" or "M" shaped motion. We need to aerate the mixture until a layer of froth forms on the surface.
Squeeze the lemon juice
Roll the lemon on the countertop, applying a bit of pressure with the palm of your hand. Using a sharp knife, slice the lemon in half crosswise, not from end to end. Then squeeze the lemon juice either with hand or a lemon squeezer.
Assemble
Add ice cubes to the serving glass, and decoriate with three lemon slices into the glass.
Then pour in lemon juice, syrup, and pure water, finally pour in the matcha liquid, this lovely green refreshing drink is done.
