I just recently discovered a great way to drink Yakult. A basic and simple combination with strawberries can also create a different feeling. Just imagine how refreshing it is to drink a cup of Strawberry Yukult in the summer with that lovely pink color! The sourness of strawberry and the sweetness of Yukult are perfectly balanced.
Ingredients
- Three larger strawberries
- coconut jelly, optional
- ice cube
- 1/2 cup sparking water
- 1/2 cup Yakult
Yakult, a fermented dairy product, started its popularity in Japan. I found it super delicious with fruits. With different fruits, the Yakult brings a distinct fruity taste.
How to Make Strawberry Yalkut
Mash the strawberries
Put strawberries into the serving glass, mash them with a muddler or other tools, and release the juice. Be gentle and avoid splashing the juice.
Assemble
Add coconut jelly, ice cubes, sparkling water, and Yakult. Stir well before drinking.
Tips
- You can adjust the Yakult and sparkling water ratio according to your preference. More Yakult gives a sweeter taste.
- Try to add two slices of lemon; it will taste more refreshing.
- If you don’t have coconut jelly on hand, skip it. Sago, or popping boba, can pair super well with this beverage.
