Oh Taro Paste

One of the most popular forms of taro is taro paste. In this recipe, we will use taro paste, too. Real taro has a very light purple color. So, to strengthen the color, ube powder or sometimes purple sweet potato powder will be added to create a lovely light purple color.

You can steam or boil the taro cubes until soft and completely cooked. Then, blend with milk, sugar, or sometimes butter into a smooth consistency. Taro paste is much easier to keep compared with fresh taro because you can freeze it.
