  • 2 tbsp. matcha powder
  • 1 tbsp. white sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp. hot water
  • 1/3 cup warm water

How to make Iced Matcha Latte

Whisk the Matcha

  • Add the matcha powder to a measuring cup, then pour in 1-2 tbsp. hot water, whisk them until the matcha is perfectly blended, and turn into a slight paste state.
  • Add another 1/3 cup of warm water and sugar. Hold the chasen with one hand and the bowl with the other to keep it steady. Whisk the matcha and water briskly in a “W” or “M” shaped motion. We need to aerate the mixture until a layer of froth forms on the surface.

Assemble

Add ice cubes to the serving glass, and pour in milk and matcha liquid.
